Getting Started in Amateur Radio !

Amateur radio is a lifelong journey for most. If you are studying for your amateur radio tests, or you just received your license, you probably know a ham radio operator who has been in the hobby for a while. You see their level of expertise and amount of equipment, and feel a little intimidated by it all. Don't be. They started at the same place you did - "the beginning."

The ARRL, the National Association for Amateur Radio sponsors the "Hello-Radio" program. In affiliation with the ARRL, Fayette County ARES offers outreach to help those entering the hobby of amateur radio with a local contact to help find support.

Support offered includes help with the basics, and direction for you to find the more advanced answers you may be seeking. To seek support, please share some information with us below. The information will be sent to FCARES Coordinators and they will contact you.
